Issues Under Fire: The Benghazi Incident!

The fact that the GOP’s efforts to exploit the “Benghazi Incident” is falling on deaf ears has the Romney campaign baffled and flustered. With the extreme “Right” media-stream’s disinformation outlets driving the U.S. ambassador’s murder story like a fully insured, company paid, rental car, the desperate attempt to undermine President Obama’s foreign policy efforts is barely attracting the usual suspects of shit flitters to crappy stories.
Clearly, the majority of the U.S. electorate have sensibly granted the Obama administration the benefit of the of any doubt, based on proven credentials in handling international affairs. In dealing with a middle east, now in a constant state of flux and turmoil, most would agree, timely, reliable and actionable intelligence is hard to come by. When pressured to respond to reasonable inquiries in unreasonable circumstances, more often than not, the details of initial statements will be updated, restated or worst case scenario, retracted.
Undoubtedly, it is of bipartisan concern that the U.S. fully understands what happened in Benghazi and why. It is imperative for U.S foreign policy concerns the we know precisely what precipitated the acts of violence and who exactly is responsible for the deaths of four Americans. In the real world as we know it today, it will take some time to thoroughly investigate every angle of every event leading up to the Benghazi incident. Perhaps, a considerable amount of time may be need to establish all the facts to everyone’s satisfaction. Hell, in the real world as we know it to be these days, America may never know who really did what and why.
Unfortunately for the Romney campaign, the sober voters and international observers understand, because answers for this act of terror aren’t ready to be aired after the next cable commercial break is frustrating, it hardly rises the the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. The tragic loss of a one of America’s most seasoned foreign service professionals, (John Christopher Stevens)while serving his country, assisting the development of Libya’s fledgling Democracy, should be remembered for more than just a bone for Republican stooges to gnaw on until their inevitable defeat in November.
Tomorrow, Why Foreign Policy Matters. Really!
