Issues Under Fire: Beware the Syrian Sob Stories

As accusations mount against the Syrian regime over the use of chemical weapons, independent verification has yet to be delivered.
While Turkey's Prime Minster Erdoğan directly accusing the Assad's regime of sarin gas use adds much needed credibility to Western claims, solid reliable proof remains illusive to date. Hence, we're reiterating our stance of giving the Russian's peace initiative a chance to play its self out until such time irrefutable proof can be established.
Harsh as it may sound, jumping the gun over the endless stream of sob stories would only exacerbate the catastrophe for those trapped on the ground. Thus far, the death toll numbers 70-75 thousand, if one can believe reporting sources and authorities.
Considering mankind's recent history, the human species has a most extraordinary capacity for tolerating death and human suffering. While at the end of each bloody conflict, glaring lessons are left in the rear view mirror of life, few take advantage of the view.
We've documented the killing and maiming of mankind in every way imaginable and then some. In your twentieth century, innocents died by the tens of millions globally. Looking back at your good old days, tough guys like Hitler and Stalin really knew how to throw a  killer of a party.
In the grand scheme of things, while this shebang has been a blast the real festivities have hardly gotten started.
So this weekend, when you expose yourselves to the Sunday talking heads, beware the tone of urgency for intervention to save the fleeing refugees from the mad sarin gas bomber, Bashar al-Assad.
Don't be a sucker again!
