With the United States sidelined, some say paralyzed with economic woes and a war weary populace, President Obama couldn't come out to play when the Israelis yelled, Game On. Never one to miss an opportunity to draw first blood, Israeli jets penetrated Syrian air space to strike in an effort to degrade the regime's ability to transfer chemical, biological weapons and or long range missiles to the "bad guys".
Defying reports of Syria's formidable air defense capabilities, the IDF saw a redline being crossed and obliterated it. Mums the word from official sources as per usual, but Israeli Right Wingers have been crowing over the attacks loudly and proudly. White House officials have been relatively muted in their response, as the Obama administration clearly has conflicting priorities than their BFF.
President Obama is receiving signals from the U.S. Congress indicating a willingness to engage the "Bad Guys", unfortunately at the moment, few can say who the Bad Guys are with any certainty. Besides, those whom appear "Cool" today maybe "too hot" to handle tomorrow. "Murky is the word of the day"
Dragging an unwilling nation into another costly conflict is going to be troublesome. We think more Americans today are willing to just change the channel rather than be blast-casted daily about the Syrian masses being slaughtered. Reportedly, seventy thousand Syrians have been killed to date, yet that number hasn't generated sufficient outrage to move the American people to bleed for anybody else but themselves for awhile.
After all civil wars have never been civilized.
