According to Turkish officials, they've identified, captured and secured confessions of the nine culprits responsible for Saturday's horrific twin bombings in Reyhanli. The Turkish intelligence apparatus, being second to none, managed to solve the heinous crime quickly and efficiently. Perhaps U.S. intelligence could take a lesson or two from true intelligence professionals.
As impressive as the speedy take down of the Boston bombers were, Turkish intelligence and security crews seems unbelievable. This "official account" seems so unbelievable, perhaps its too early to believe it. Bombing on Saturday, evildoers in custody Sunday. We say that rates a WOW!
Maybe the "Bad Guys" were so overwhelmed with remorse, they just ratted themselves out to Turkish authorities. "Okay, we did it" says Mohammed. (We're just assuming there was at least one Mo in the group) Hey, IT stands to reason! "Yeah and we're so sorry, we think you should know we did this dirty deed with the full knowledge and blessings of the Syrian Intelligence Service." Oh, but we are so so sorry. Can you ever forgive us?"
In the murky muddy mysterious world of "global intelligence gathering" to support covert operations for the protection of one's "vital national interest" both home and abroad, where even seeing, rarely leads to believing, no intelligence can be completely trusted. Now that the finger pointing and counter accusations have started, the likelihood of any truths escaping the gravitational pull of Syria's black hole of death and violence, is not very likely at all.
Currently, the Israelis, the Brits, the French, the U.S., the Turks, and everybody else and their mothers have assets crawling all over Syria. One would imagine, few were actually invited as they simply circumvented Syrian sovereignty and decided to take maters into their own hands. Hey with a civil war going on, people can do pretty much whatever they want.
Along with the international media, Syria has been turned into the lawless days of America's wild wild west for cable TV. Syria is in such a chaotic state, perpetrators of unimaginable agendas, dark motives and silent forces are thriving. In war rich environments like this, even the so called "Good Guys" are "Bad Guys". In bloody conflicts like this, it is wise to let the smoke clear before sticking your neck out.
