Issues Under Fire: World and Iran Have A Deal, Israel Remains the Issue

World Pleased with Iran Deal, Israel Remains the Issue

The world may have a deal with Iran, but the fight has just begun for Israel. Marshaling a parade of bipartisan Congressional members in front of American media to publicly berate President Obama's historic breakthrough was testament to the power of intense Israeli lobbying.

One stooge after another presented a conspicuously consistent message of "the sanctions is what brought the Iranians bargaining table and the sanctions should have been increased not eased. Like puppets dangling on a string, both Republicans and Democrats performed at the behest of the hand that feeds them by repeating prepared talking points.

Ignoring the fact that this was a deal the international community has determined is a good "first step", as well as being applauded by world opinion, Congressional ass-wipes we're mobilized to mug for the mainstream media in denouncing the achievement. Fortunately for the President, most thinking Americans thoroughly despise Congress, so the damage to the administration is manageable if properly handled.

Still, if this deal has any chance of succeeding, now is not the time to celebrate or even relax. After being sidestepped by China and rebuffed by Russia, the Israelis had no place to go but back to the drawing board.

Now exposed as the lone adversary to world peace and stability, the Israelis have vowed to disrupt and corrupt any efforts to meet anyone halfway. Israel has made its position crystal clear now; its going to be Israel's way or the hard way.

Hence, going forward, this wily, clever, vindictive and mean-spirited element must be watched very carefully. Its no secret, with the Israelis, covert ops and political subterfuge are staples in their arsenal of "self defense" options. This crew not only makes up its own rules, it routinely ignores international law when that law is in conflict with Israeli interest and security needs.

The above being the case, Iranian scientist had better watch their asses too. Considering how hard the Israelis took the news, it wouldn't be beyond them to reactivate their campaign of assassinations and sabotage as a rational for defending themselves.

At this juncture, such actions would be a public relations nightmare, but getting along with the rest of the world has rarely been much of a concern for Israel.

Bottom line: This may be only the beginning of a very volatile negotiation process.
