How the Filthy Rich Thinks of All of Us
Since there's no shortage of condemnation for billionaire Donald Sterling's racist remarks and confirmed negative sentiments toward certain demographics, it might be enlightening to understand the full extent of Mr. Sterling's contempt for anyone without mega means. To focus merely on Mr. Sterling's view of his Los Angeles Clippers as a stable of animals he can trot out to perform against another rich guy's stable of animals, will have you missing the bigger picture.
As horrid as his attitude is toward Blacks, Latinos and women, one can presume Mr. Sterling is of that very unique ilk of individuals, who envision themselves as superior to all of mankind. While it was terribly unfortunate Blacks were singled out in the limited release of reportedly tens of hours of documented conversations, when all is throughly reviewed, one will find Mr. Sterling looks down on all of humanity equally. To that mindset, "people" are just tools and toys for their use, abuse and amusement.
Donald Sterling: The Rich and The Racist
Whether these delusions are developed over a lifetime of achievement at the expense of those less capable and or ambitious, or simply decades of privilege through carefully managed bloodlines, the filthy rich fancy themselves as God's stewards of the world. Unfortunately, this type of thinking is not only dangerous, but it's hardly anything new.
However, there is a ray of hope. Although convinced the world could not survive without their care, custody and complete control, the Donald Sterling mentality is unstable and unsustainable. Only people with weak characters can be negatively impacted by such megalomania. Anyone with a shred of pride and self respect would never accept or allow the corrosive acceptance of even the slightest of slights.
Bottom line: One would be well advised to avoid these people whenever possible. Remember, they are filthy!
