Issues Under Fire: China On the Rise, Russia on a Roll, America Remains In a Rut

With China on the rise, Russia on a roll and America remaining in a rut, it kinda makes you wonder what the hell is really going on. Americans will be forced fed millions of dollars worth of negative adds demonizing political opponents during the lead up to the 2014 elections, but not a dimes worth of solutions will be offered. Congress is too defective to ever be effective, the Obama administration is clearly overwhelmed and the average citizen is completely lost.

Letting the headlines speak for themselves, the outlook for America's friends and foes seemed far better going forward, despite all the hype of American exceptionalism. China is poised to surpass the US as the world's largest economy, Russia is winning and will eventually win the Eastern European conflict, while America is failing miserably, just trying to meets its citizens most basic needs.

As the nation was gripped over missing Malaysian flight MH370, the crisis in Ukraine and most recently the racist ruckus in Los Angeles, ugly economic realities like Congress blocking a decades overdue minimum wage hike, veterans dropping dead by the dozens awaiting medical appointments, while the long term unemployed continue to be ignored.

When Russian officials, fed up with the United States' sanctions fetish, announced U.S. scientist will need a trampoline to access the international space station, because Russia might not let them hitch a ride, suddenly something seemed way the hell out of whack! In its totality, one could call this a crisis that's yet to be acknowledged.

Hopefully, absence truly does make the heart grow fonder, as we'll be on assignment until further notice. If you'll recall Friday last, Issues Under Fire went in search of the American Dream and oddly enough found it being lived in Canada. Since that time, more sightings and rumors have come to our attention that "some" Europeans have found easier means to a life worth living as well.

Hence, Issues Under Fire will be on hiatus until we can determine "Who Stole the America Dream and How Can We Get it Back?" In the meantime, enjoy your spring, as this could take awhile.
