Issues Under Fire: Despite Assurances to the Contrary, ISIS/ISIL is Winning
Daily, the Obama administration reports efforts to degrade and destroy ISIS/ISIL are being ramped up, but something tells us we're not being told the whole story.
How such a monstrous entity could have grown virtually undetected and allowed to unleashed itself upon the would without notice or warning should boggled a sane mind. Could it be, this evil entity called ISIS/ISIL may have already grown beyond the capability of the West to stop its expansion.
Sure, watching F-18 Super Hornets leaving the flight deck of an aircraft carrier is impressive, but by all accounts, this U.S. led air offensive has been woefully ineffective thus far. Since the America people have been promised, U.S. troops will not engage ISIS/ISIL on the ground in Iraq nor Syria, one has to presume ISIS/ISIL will only continue to grow for the foreseeable future.
Notwithstanding billions spent in training and arming Iraqi security forces after the so-called surge this offshoot of Al Qaeda has emerged stronger and more fierce than ever. If ISIS/ISIL can still be growing in numbers and influence at this late date, one would have to surmise ISIS/ISIL is winning.
But, ISIS/ISIL is not only winning the real war on the ground, they're also winning the propaganda war on social media. The ISIS/ISIL message is being heard around the world and it's resonating with a myriad militant mindsets just waiting for a cause to swear an allegiance to.
If its true that everybody loves a winner, ISIS/ISIL must be generating quite a global fan base. A menacing bunch, striking terror in the hearts of all they encounter on the battlefield, one can only imagine how easily weak, impressionable minds can be won over. The thought of rolling with a crew so fearsome the opposition literally throws its weapons to the ground and run for their lives, can be exciting to weak and impressionable minds.
Bottom line: We're being told over 60 countries have committed resources to this fight. We're being told to be patient, as the coalition is still being assembled and contributions of efforts are still being determined. We're being told this fight could take years, perhaps generations. How the Obama administration could expect sane minds to buy what its selling as a winning strategy is a mystery and we don't like mysteries! Podcast Below!
