Issues Under Fire: Has ISIS Unleashed Hell on Earth? 

Since coming up with an explanation for why anyone in his or her right mind would admire the acts of ISIS is beyond this writer's capacity, wild speculation with a healthy dose of imagination will have to suffice. Today, Issues Under Fire will dare to take you One Step Beyond conventional wisdom. 

We've covered some crazy stories here at Issues Under Fire, and frankly, that's what we thought ISIS was, just another crazy tale that would sizzle for awhile, but eventually fizzle into history. We too like President Obama, thought this ISIS phenomenon would be a major pain in the ass, but not the devilishly diabolical entity its morphed into.  

Unfortunately, we all may have been woefully mistaken in misidentifying the true nature of the Islamic State threat. What we could be witnessing, is an evil presence spreading amongst us like a virus. While the world has understandably labeled ISIS as terrorist spreading an evil ideology, the truth could be, ISIS has become the  personification of evil itself. Perhaps terror is simply evil's preferred method of achieving evil goals.  We're not at war with Islamic extremist, we're at war with evil.

What if this evil's intention is to infect the hearts and minds of the mentally and emotionally unstable? What if evil is targeting our idol youth to be used for its army of demonic hellions. If idol hands are the devil's workshop, the unholy one has legions to unleash against the world. Could it be, that's how evil is constructing its army to usher in unrestrained death, destruction and life long misery for the unlucky left living? 

What else could explain the attraction of the so-called Islamic State? What else could have young people from all walks of life and corners of the world flocking to join the madness. What else could desensitize and so thoroughly strip someone of their innate humanity, that they could cooperate and participate in the gleeful torture of defenseless human beings. Rape, crucifixions, beheading and burning people alive can be nothing less than pure unmitigated evil. 

Bottom line: If our assessment of the rise of this Evil Caliphate has any validity whatsoever, then we must accept the fact that air strikes, forming international coalitions and funding resistance fighters is only a band-aid solution. Evil is clever enough to use the world's knee-jerk response against it. Nothing could please evil more than to create a climate of blind vengeance. We've got to be smarter than evil, not tougher.
