Issues Under Fire: Summer Break 2015

Issues Under Fire: Summer Break 2015
Thank God, its summer break and it came not one millisecond too soon. "The Rise and Fall of the African-American" story was getting hot and the following segments only promised to get hotter.
Nobody around here was looking forward to the challenge of scrutinizing and profiling the average law enforcement officer who's charged with patrolling communities of color. Since all preliminary assessments indicate the vast majority of these individuals are of average intellect, if true, we'd be forced to examine how dangerous someone of average intellect can be when making life and death decisions.
Considering, it was the recent spate of police killing unarmed African-American men throughout the country that sparked the national debate on policing and race, it would be irresponsible not to explore this issue with depth. From police commissioners, to the officers on the street, we think its important to get into the minds of the men and women who hold the power of live and death over us.
While that's a huge part of this story, that's also a lot of work for the summertime. So, we're going into chill mode for awhile. But never fear, for we promise to pick up where we left off with "The Rise and Fall of the African-American" Part 10 when we return after Labor Day. Until then, enjoy your summer have fun and stay out of the hell out of the heat.
BTW, nobody well be around to post movies, TV shows or our radio dramas until we return either.
