Issues Under Fire: A Bitter Bibi Netanyahu Browbeats World Over Iran Deal
An angry bitter and confrontational Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used his opportunity at the UN General Assembly to bash the world body for embracing the nuclear deal with Iran. Stung by the results of the negotiations, as his ranting and raging warnings were ignored in the interest of progress, Prime Minister Netanyahu blasted the international community for its naiveté when it comes to Iran's true intentions.
After what appeared to be hours of a steady stream of unsubstantiated accusations as to Tehran's commitment to the destruction of the "Jewish State of Israel", Netanyahu reminded the international community that Iran would never be satisfied with Israel's demise, as Iran's goal was to terrorize the entire world. As far as Netanyahu is concerned, no one is safe from Iran's evil ambitions.
Citing Iranian terror cells being set up all over the world, with the inference being, in a city or town near "you", Netanyahu took his fear mongering loaded message to levels not even reached by himself before. According to the Israeli Prime minister, Iran is currently perfecting a long range missile systems that could reach Europe and beyond. The inference being, a nuclear mushroom cloud could one day cast a dark and deadly shadow over "your" city or town.
Netanyahu went on to predict lifting economic sanctions to return tens of billions of dollars to Iran will only enable Tehran to ramp up bankrolling terrorist networks and other nefarious activities, while providing arms to other groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria along with Hamas in Gaza. If only the international community and by extension the entire human race wasn't so stupid, they'd see what only the Israelis can see. According to Netanyahu, the evil Iran is planning for the world endangers everyone and only Israel is smart enough to defend us all from these radicalized evildoers.
Still, Netanyahu left the world with a morsel of hope as he stated Israel would be watching the process closely. The Iranian threat was far too great to be left in the hands of those to gullible to grasp the gravity of the situation. Netanyahu intimated no matter what is decided or voted upon in the UN, he'll not be bound by international limitations, laws or boundaries when it comes to defending his people. Israel will do what is in the best interest of Israel and will always will do whatever Israel feels Israel has to do.
Bottom line: Despite the raw rhetoric and unabashed belligerence from the Israeli Prime Minister, this deal is done and nothing can change the outcome now. As per Iranian President Hussan Rouhani this week, the United States signed a deal with the international community and is bound by agreed upon international commitments going forward. No future president or congress can tamper with the terms and conditions of this deal, as long as Iran remains in compliance. To do otherwise, would totally undermine US. credibility in the eyes of the world. Podcast below!
