Winter Break Programming: Just Thinking Out Loud
To think or not to think, for that is the question few consider without thinking. Most people simply start thinking without considering the consequences of their thoughts. A lot of people simply let ideas pop in and out of their heads without the slightest idea what to make of those ideas. Some of those ideas could be really good ideas, but if you're not very bright, most are not. If you can't remember the last time you thought of a really good idea, you'd better start thinking about what that means.
Maybe, you're not very good at thinking. If not, don't think poorly about yourself, because most people aren't very good thinkers. Think about it, if you were a good thinker, you'd probably be rich by now. You'd probably have thought of a way to get out of debt. You'd have thought of a way to get a better job, start a prosperous business or find a more compatible mate. Good thinkers think of ways to make their lives better, or at least that's what most people think.
Lately, most people smart or not, simply let someone else do their thinking for them. That way, they're not responsible for their actions. Imagine acting on a bad idea you thought was a good idea at the time. If you were the one doing all the thinking, you'd have no one to blame but yourself when things turnout badly. There are a lot of unthinkable names for people who don't think for themselves, but in a political correct environment, you wouldn't think of thinking that way about them.
Still, if you think like that enough times in your life, people will begin to think you're not very bright. Now that's something you don't want to think about. While this is not exactly fun stuff to think about, in the absence of anything else better to do, I thought it was a good idea. So, before you go off thinking without thinking about how good you are at thinking, you should think very carefully. If you think about it, it makes sense. What do you think?
