While Hillary Clinton might get away with slapping the Socialist label on Bernie Sanders to help buoy sinking polling numbers, insinuating the Senator from Vermont is part of the establishment is a stretch.
If Sanders was part of the establishment, he'd have had better success advancing his proposal for universal healthcare through the expansion of Medicare. While The Affordable Healthcare Act was as far as the establishment would go, Sanders wanted to put Obama-Care on steroids. Washington's establishment figures never had the balls to truly reform America's healthcare system.
If Bernie Sanders was part of Washington's establishment, he'd wouldn't be calling for normalizing relations with Tehran. After President Obama's historic nuclear agreement, Washington's establishment, to this day are still seeking ways to undermine it in favor of a military solution., Washington' s establishment never even wanted a deal.
One needn't be an astute observer understand the pressure Israel lobbyist exerts over Washington's establishment to keep relations as volatile and incendiary as possible. No Washington establishment figure has the balls to reach out to Iran seeking common ground without permission.
If Bernie Sanders was part of Washington's establishment, he wouldn't be advocating reaching a political solution to Syria's civil war, even if doing so, leaves Bashar al-Assad in power. In fact, it's because of the Washington establishment's bullheaded commitment to regime change that's prolonging the killing of innocent civilians and fueling the international refugee crises. No Washington establishment figure has the balls to take Sanders' stance and stick to it.
If Bernie Sanders was part of Washington's establishment, his campaign would be funded in part by the murky world of super pacs and not by the little people. Most of Sanders' donations are coming in dribs and drabs from mostly the shrinking middle and working class.
Reportedly when Chris Pearson, a Vermont state legislator suggested forming a super pac to support Sanders, his response was, kill the idea. According the NY Times Bernie Sanders is willing to sink or swim on based on what he can get from the country's middle class. Once again, few Washington establishment figures, least of all Hillary Clinton, have the balls to reject tainted money.
Bottom line: Although this post/podcast should in no way be construed as an endorsement of the Bernie Sanders' campaign for president, we feel its important to point out blatant misrepresentations and obvious mischaracterizations when we spot them. Since little, if any independent and impartial analysis will be found in the mainstream media going forward, we're appointing ourselves, the official 2016 presidential election referee. And you know that takes balls. Podcast below!
