When Donald Trump slammed Mexicans, slandered Muslims, ignored Blacks, scoffed at the physically challenged, demeaned women and scolded Pope Francis during this 2016 campaign for the White House, he still hadn't touched the third rail of American politics. But when Donald Trump failed to pledge his undying loyalty to Israel, Trump went from a Badass to be tolerated if necessary, to a Madman to be stopped by any means necessary.
During the last GOP debate in Austin, Texas before Super Tuesday, Trump reiterated he'd take a neutral position when dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And when attacked by rival candidates for not sticking to the AIPAC script, Trump held his ground. This is unheard of in Washington D.C. politics.
To refuse to pledge unyielding, unwavering, unconditional and eternal support for the State of Israel is the kiss of death for any politician, at any level of American politics. When it comes to Israel, there can be no neutrality. You're required to take a stand and that stand must be with Israel. There's no if, and, or buts about it. If you want to be elected or reelected, there will be no dissent.
Whatever Donald Trump has done or said in the past couldn't even have come close to generating the negative energy he's got coming his way in the next two weeks. Any U.S. politician failing to pledge his/her undying allegiance to Israel's security will face the wrath of every flunky, lackey and political hack AIPAC has on its donor's list. And considering that's just about the entire body of Congress, when they strike, it'll be a bipartisan affair.
Slowly, like tag-teaming assassins, you'll find them showing up on welcoming cable news outlets to demonize Trump for being an unethical businessman, for being a racist, for being a divider, for being crude, rude, insensitive and misogynistic. You are going to hear and see the strongest united effort to derail Trump's path to the Republican nominee that money, power and influence can buy. So if you think Trump's insults were over the top, wait until the Israeli inspired blowback is unleashed.
The last thing Israel and its army of Congressional stooges want in the White House is a skilled dealmaker, a tough negotiator and independently wealthy president, weighing in on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. With the help of Congress, Israel has been able to control the narrative. With the help of Congress, Israel has been able to maintain the status quo. With the help of Congress, Israel has been able to take a mile without giving up an inch. That could all change with a guy like Donald Trump in the Oval Office. All it would take is a veto pen and the balls to use it and Trump could change the trajectory of the Middle East.
With the United States providing Israel more than $3.5 billion annually in foreign aid and military support, Donald Trump may demand more of a return for that money than lip service. Donald Trump may demand settlement concessions in exchange for future financial consideration. Donald Trump may demand serious peace talks be restarted without preconditions on either side of the conflict. Donald Trump may demand a timetable for progress if Israel values continued U.S. cooperation. If Israel thought President Obama was difficult to deal with, a President Trump would be an outright pain in Israel's ass.
Bottom line: No matter what one thinks of Donald Trump, there's some things about him that can't be denied. Donald Trump can't be controlled, influenced or bought off. Donald Trump is the ultimate loose cannon and he's fully loaded. Get in his way and he'll go off on you, with or without notice. To date, no one can determine if Donald Trump is an American Badass or a straight up Madman. But if Trump can survive the hell Washington's being paid to bring upon his candidacy in the coming days and weeks, it won't be long before the world finds out. Podcast Below!
