Issues Under Fire: Jerry Springer to Moderate Next GOP Debate

Since GOP politics can't seem to find its way out of the gutter, we think it's time to put these primaries into proper context before the process makes a mockery out of the country. In case you haven't noticed, the world is watching with wonderment and worry over what it's witnessing. While the seamy language and sordid innuendo are good for ratings among America's scummy demographic, the vast majority of the electorate are being embarrassed by this scummy sham. Without question, the 2016 election for the United States presidency has devolved into a race to the bottom.
Based upon what's been observed thus far, the last person standing among the GOP will inevitably be the person with the least scruples, be the least trustworthy and the least likable. And nothing confirmed these facts more than when GOP candidates were asked point blank if they'd support the Republican nominee no matter who that nominee was. To a person, they all stated yes, without equivocation. Although reneging on a unity pledge due to unforeseen scumminess would have been understood, these GOP candidates responded like the scum-bags they are.
After months of standing on so-called principles, scandalously slandering one another for being liars, fakes, phonies, losers, lames, whiners, con artists and worse, they stood ready and willing to abandon those principles for the sake of Party unity. Without any help from the Left, at what was the most defining moment of the GOP primaries, the Republican candidates defined themselves as seedy characters. Rather than using the opportunity to distance themselves from the scum of the Party by demonstrating the strength of independence, they comported themselves like cheap political hacks undeserving of any further consideration.
And John Kasich, the least scummy of the GOP characters, could have all but locked up his home state of Ohio had he just said, no. If he'd only walked off the stage during the heated scum-fest he could have salvaged his reputation. Had he simply cited having too much respect for himself, his family and the American people to continue in this political sleaziness, at the very least he could have walked away without his character being questioned.
While it would've been a gamble trusting a dummied down American audience with a choice between taking the highroad and wallowing in scuzz, considering Kasich had nothing left to lose, he should have made that bet. Unfortunately, when the moment of truth presented itself, Kasich took a scum bath with the rest of the GOP's scuzzy crew. If it takes a person of strong character to be a strong leader, we can now can definitively report, the GOP is completely devoid of character and leadership.
Bottom line: If Americans are going to allow this race for the White House to be run in the gutter and be decided by who has the biggest penis, why not just let Jerry Springer moderate the debates going forward. Perhaps someone can accuse Donald Trump of fathering one of Marco Rubio's children. Since Donald won't deny it, the whole sordid affair can be resolved on the Maury Povich show.
