Another Bombshell: Did Michael Flynn Plan A Covert Extradition?
When key words and phrases like spies, lies, under surveillance, FBI investigations, credibility gap, collusion, international intrigue, Russia connection, Congressional inquires, incompetence and suspected criminal activity are being used to describe the first impressions of a new administration, one can deduce with confidence, things are not running like a finely tuned machine. In fact, if issues of this magnitude persist at this blistering pace, the heretofore Teflon Donald could be hearing the phrase "Lock Him Up" one day soon. Please, indulge yourselves with this infotaining explanation.
Granted, the aforementioned are just circumstantial descriptors thus far, but when we got the latest 411 dropped on Michael Flynn in the Wall Street Journal today, we knew this story qualified as another bombshell. Apparently Donald Trump's former National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, an exposed foreign agent, is now "suspected" of trying to work a deal (during the campaign) with the Turks to deliver a permanent U.S. citizen they'd accused of triggering the recent attempted coup against the Turkish government. The citizen in question is a well connected and wealthy reclusive cleric named Fathullah Gülen, but since the implications of this tale is such that he's been targeted for a Black Ops extraction, we'll refer to Mr. Gülen hereinafter as "The Package". That's spy talk!
However, this is a huge problem, because the Obama administration refused to extradite "The Package" until the Turks delivered proof. Although Turkey is a member of Nato and up until recently eager to join the E.U., Turkey's President Erdoğan has been a bit of a tyrant as of late, jerking journalists around and jailing opposition leaders. Perhaps that's what happens after coup attempts, but it's hardly an environment to hand over a dissident to. So, here's the troubling question: Without delivering that proof, and the Turks never did, how was Michael Flynn going to deliver "The "Package" without going through required judicial and other legal processes?
Inquiring minds are within reason to ask if Michael Flynn had the resources and crews in place to accomplish a task like this - how would they do it? Would the "The Package" have been spirited away in the middle of the night and flown half way around the world, with a black bag over his head until he's unshackled in Ankara and handed over to the Turkish authorities? How much would an operation like that cost? How many others would have to be involved to pull something like this off without notice? How did Michael Flynn expect to explain "The Package's" sudden disappearance? Isn't this sh!t exciting?
Bottom line: From the very beginning of the Trump administration, we never gave it more than a 10-15% chance of seeing a second term. But after what we've been observing as of late, we don't give this administration more than 10-15% chance of completing it's first term. There's simply no way in hell any administration can survive this unrelenting onslaught of scandalous accusations and damning revelations without paying a heavy price. Still, no matter what the outcome, one must admit, there hasn't been one dull moment since Donald Trump entered the Oval Office and the excitement promises to continue, unabaited. Podcast below.
