Trump Enjoys Billionaire-Care, Threatens to Let Obama-Care Explode
Had Donald Trump climbed off his high horse and put his ear to the ground, he'd have heard Americans praying for his Repeal and Replacement Healthcare Bill to fail. If the billionaire businessman actually understood the concept of healthcare and what it means to real people, he'd have instantly understood that the plan Paul Ryan was pushing couldn't possibly meet the promises he'd made on the campaign trail. Donald Trump promised all Americans world class healthcare at a fraction of the cost. The American Healthcare Act of 2017 didn't even come close. And we understand why.
Unfortunately, living in a Tower high above the noise of real life, Donald Trump has never seen a single mother sitting in an emergency room lobby at 3:00 AM comforting a feverish toddler who hasn't been able to sleep or keep food down for three days. He has no understanding of how grateful that single mother will be for the free samples she'll receive because her co-pay for prescriptions is a struggle. He'll not understand the added stress of her other two kids missing school tomorrow because they too, were up all night, constantly underfoot. He'll not understand that means a day lost from work at a job with no personal day off benefits. That's the real life Donald Trump has never heard, seen or felt. And that's the problem.
Billionaires don't have health plans. They don't need them. Billionaires have private physicians to attend their healthcare needs privately. Billionaires don't go to the doctor's office, because a billionaire's attending physician makes penthouse calls. If a prescription is necessary, it's written and delivered to the billionaire's home or office within hours, if that long. It's kinda like that show Royal Pains, where highly talented medical professionals provide concierge type physician services to the uber-rich and ultra-elite. Think about it - someone who's lived a life without even understanding what it means to stand on a line for a minute, couldn't possibly understand what it means to sit in an emergency room for hours.
Bottom line: Only someone who simply doesn't get it would threaten to let Obama-Care explode in the faces of the American people, knowing it's all they have right now. Only someone who's totally tone deaf could simply wash their hands of this issue as though it meant nothing to them at all. Only someone who's completely out of touch with reality could think it's possible to just move on, as though America's healthcare crisis wouldn't follow them as long as they occupy the Oval Office. But most importantly, only someone who'd completely lost their God Damned mind, could find a way to blame this miserable failure on the Democrats. Podcast below
