When it Comes to Trump, We're Jumping to Conclusions
At the risk of jumping to conclusions, we're gonna take a shortcut in rendering a final opinion on Donald Trump's so-called presidency. Why, you should be asking? Because, we're simply tired of covering it. From our point of view, there isn't much more to learn. One needn't wait for a judge to sentence Trump for crimes committed to be fairly certain he's a criminal. One needn't wait for a mental health examination to be fairly certain Trump is an emotionally troubled man. And one needn't wait to see Trump hooked-up to a lie detector to be fairly certain he has difficulties telling the truth. The only thing one can't be certain of, is how long it'll take the rest of the country to reach our conclusions.
If we're correct, Donald Trump is a criminal whose yet to be charged, a maniac whose yet to be diagnosed and a pathological liar whose yet to be exposed. But Trump's luck and or support can't hold up much longer. Eventually, others will see what we've seen. They'll begin to realize Trump's faults and flaws cannot be overlooked. They'll begin to tire of defending his indefensible behaviors. They'll finally figure out, protecting Donald Trump is only doing Vladimir Putin's bidding. They'll be forced to accept the fact that Trump will never make America great again. And that's when everything Trump begins to fall apart. There's no other way this crisis can end. It's just a matter of time.
So, moving forward, we're moving on. Since we already know the ending of the story, there's no point in reading every painful chapter. We'll leave that to the mainstream media. Besides, there's a resistance movement to follow in this country. Americans are organizing and mobilizing in every town, city and state to resist everything Trump stands for. Anti-Trump rallies are being held somewhere in this country everyday of the week. And these rallies are drawing people from all walks of life and from both political parties. But wait, there's more.
There's a revolution taking place in the Democratic Party to cover. Tired of supporting a Party that won't support them, Progressives are challenging the Democratic Party's leadership for control. The People's wing of the Party is preparing for a post Trump world, because they know that day could come sooner than many Democrats think. They want to be ready with plans, solutions and a populist platform to launch the moment the Trump administration collapses. If Progressives have to tear the Democratic Party down in order to rebuild it in the image of the people, that's what they intend to do. These are the stories we'll focus on in the future.
Bottom line: To continue wasting time, energy, effort and precious resources chronicling the inevitable downfall of a mad man, would only give one reason to question our sanity. Therefore, starting next week, Issues Under Fire will go on a summer schedule, posting a weekly video version of this podcast. However, never fear, our angles will be just as sharp and our storytelling just as provocative. The only difference is, we intend to talk and write more about what's likely to happen tomorrow and less about what everybody thinks is going to happening today. It's time to look ahead.
