Issues Under Fire: Replacing Congress With A.I. May Be the Answer
Many will find today's post and podcast may have originated in the Twilight Zone, but if you give us a moment, we hope to make a convincing argument for replacing the human element in the decision/policy making process of government with Artificial Intelligence. If you believe as we do, that the 45th person occupying the Oval Office is dangerously unstable and Congress is thoroughly corrupt, then like us, you should be ready to seriously consider an alternative to the self-destructive status quo. We're proposing Governance On Demand. We'll call it G.O.D for short. Here's how it works.
Imagine developing the smartest digital assistant known to humankind, for the purpose of instantly providing solutions, suggestions and a wide variety of options to all pressing problems facing America. Questions like how to deliver healthcare, how to address income inequality, how to make education affordable, how to deal with crime, poverty and illiteracy, how to treat drug addiction, as well as how to avoid military conflicts, can all be answered by G.O.D. Just ask for the answer and you'll receive it. No special interest involvement, no partisan gridlock, no time, money or energy wasted. And you can depend on G.O.D. getting it right every time. If G.O.D. can't find the answer, the answer doesn't exist.
We concluded the need for radical change was eons overdue when it was revealed many members of Congress were clueless as to what the United States military is doing in Africa. When both Republican Lindsey Graham and Democrat Charles Schumer admitted to not being aware of the troop levels, the missions and objectives or the cost of major operations in Africa, we found that unacceptable. As far as we know, this country is in an endless global war with no idea as to how much of the nation's resources are being absorbed to fund it. As a matter of fact, few in Congress can even tell the American people who's being fought or why anymore.
When it finally became apparent Congress would fail to reform or adequately replace Obama-Care, leaving tens of millions of American's wondering what they'd do without affordable coverage or none at all, we realized once and for all, Americans were being screwed royally. When Congress abruptly and hastily moved on to address tax cuts for the uber-rich, even the blind could now see how low the lives of average Americans were being prioritized. But the tipping point came when we found it was Congress that passed legislation that allowed the scourge of opioid addiction to flourish in mainstream America. Bought and paid for by Big Pharma, corrupt and incompetent politicians sold "We the People" out. We can do better.
Bottom line: Artificial Intelligence may be the answer. After all, A.I. has already been accepted and used to assist us in many areas in our lives. A.I. helps drive our cars, trucks, buses and trains as well as fly our aircraft.  Along with robotics, A.I. is being used in everything from manufacturing to medicine. If the technology and intellectual capacity exist today to create a better, fairer and more representative form of governance (and it does), why would anyone continue to accept the dangerously flawed human element that's underserving the country and beyond? Let's face it, we have a certified lunatic in the White House. How much worse do things have to get before we seek another way? Podcast below. And by the way, for those who have a problem with our name G.O.D, try "Political Innovation" when explaining this concept to a friend.
