Issues Under Fire: A Year of "45" Brings a Welcomed Winter Break
It's unfortunate we're forced to leave for Winter Break while the country remains in such dire straits. Think about it. Donald Trump has yet to be indicted by the FBI's Special Council, impeached by Congress (admittedly a stretch), held accountable for alleged sexual misconduct, or most importantly, found to be insane. So, it looks as though "45" will make it through 2017 relatively unscathed. And this is not only disappointing but extremely depressing.
Considering all the lies, distractions, outrageous tweets, obvious ignorance and a delusional sense of self, one would think the country would've come to its collective senses and found a way to rid itself of this horrible mistake and dangerous menace. Americans should be ashamed. After all, it was "We the People" who allowed this tragedy to occur. While it's true, Russia more than likely played a role in giving Trump a leg up in the 2016 elections, the lion's share of the blame still falls on "We the People". And there's no escaping that fact.
Donald Trump should've never been a choice, let alone the GOP's finalist to represent the Party. His campaign should've never been considered anything more than comic relief. He was a fake, a fraud and a phony from the word go because Trump's character has always been called into question. Trump's sliminess in his business and personal dealings were well known and have been for decades. But it goes deeper than that. Trump's racist tendencies, misogyny, and xenophobia are legendary. There were few secrets to uncover about "The Donald". Even his bent toward lunacy had been detected years ago.
An idiot, an F-ing moron, unhinged, unfit, unstable and egomaniacal are just some of the descriptors regularly used to explain Donald Trump's behavior. And these descriptors are used by those who know him best. Even with daily evidence provided by Trump himself, through inconsistent and incoherent messaging, a penchant for chaos and a proclivity for unwarranted and unnecessary confrontation, somehow this shady businessman and reality TV charlatan turned politician has managed to elude Karma or his comeuppance. In a word, this is nothing short of amazing. So, the only question we have left, is WTF can be done about it?
Bottom line: Until "We the People" must come up with a plan to impeach, indict or otherwise incapacitate Trump from further damaging the country and threatening all our futures, the entire world will live in fear of what this maniac will do next. And we need that plan soon because it's uncertain if America, as we've known it, can survive another year of "45". Podcast below. And we'll C-ya next year!
