Issues Under Fire: Red Scare or Red Herring
Beware! The world is prepping to go off half-cocked over British allegations that Vladimir Putin, aka "international thug, aka Public Enemy Number One, has returned Russia to the dark side. Back are the days of clandestine activities like revenge killings, political assassinations and of course espionage. Unwilling to join and remain a content member of the global community and abide by established international laws and norms, according to the latest narrative being sold, Vladimir Putin has gone rogue. And something has to be done about it. That's why we're hearing the "We Must Act As One" message playing in the background again. But, wait, I've heard this all before.
Russia is being isolated. Russian diplomats are being told to pack their bags and GTFO of Dodge. To date, British Prime Minister Teresa May has persuaded nearly two dozen nations to give the bum's rush to Russian diplomats, aka Russian intelligence officers, from their respective countries. Sticking to her story that Putin operatives poisoned two people in Salisbury with a military grade nerve agent that could only be traced back to the Russians, as well as an old school strangling of another in London, May insisted, there was no other plausible explanation. It had to be Putin. And maybe May's got a point. Putin did have the means, the motive, and the opportunity. He fit the frame. So, in a show of support and unity against a rogue actor determined to take over the world, more than 100 Russians have been given 7 days to vacate.
On the surface, it looks like we got ourselves a bona fide bad man to rally against because somebody thinks a good bad man is just what the world needs right now. Kim Jong-un is turning out to be a disappointment. And Al Qaeda and ISIS just ain't what they used to be. No, if the world needs a good scare, it needs a global villain. The world needs a killer with a global reach. No matter where you live on the planet, enemies of the state will be dealt with. The world needs to be convinced a Red is hiding under every bed. Again, I've seen all this before. Except, for one confusing detail. The United States is not leading the charge.
While U.S. intelligence officials have been sounding the alarm for the past two years that Russia had been and still is meddling in the American political process, until the Brits triggered this latest row, Donald Trump has been rather timid toward anything related to Russia or Vladimir Putin. Seemingly more interested in demeaning and disparaging the U.S. intelligence community's findings and recommendations, Donald Trump has turned a blind eye to the world's super cyber-spy guy. Accused of planting fake news, fake ads and fake websites to subliminally sway the thoughts, emotions and presumably, votes of unsuspecting Americans, it's a mystery why Trump appears to be hiding behind Teresa May's skirt. Or is it? Let the speculation begin.
It's no secret. Many around the world suspect Donald Trump is afraid of something Russia/Putin could do to him. I've been posting and podcasting this theory for months now. As I reported yesterday, top U.S. intelligence officials are certain and have been for some time now, that Donald Trump has been compromised. I surmised, a cat-o-nine-tails and farm animals may be involved or perhaps they've hacked Trump's tax returns. That'll shake sh*t up. Still, I recommend you jump to your own conclusions. Use your imaginations. It's fun. Besides, you're more likely to come closer to the truth than anything you'll hear, see or read from the mainstream media. But I digress.
Astute minds have noticed not everybody is buying into this rush to judgment movement. I didn't see China, South Korea, Japan, India, Israel, Australia, Saudi Arabia or any other oil-rich/middle east partners on the list of those asking Russia to hit the bricks. Perhaps these and the other 90% of U.N. member states weren't as impressed with May's plausible explanation. Maybe there's more than just one plausible explanation. Maybe they're waiting for reputable, credible, unimpeachable, independent nerve agent experts to share their definitive findings before joining the mob. Or, maybe like me, they've seen all this before. Maybe they remember the run-up to the Iraq war.
Bottom line: We may never know for certain who was responsible for the recent killings on British soil. We may never know because we live in a world full of lies, spies and really bad guys. False flags, international intrigue, subterfuge, sabotage, and espionage have been around since dirt and the powers that be are really good at it. So, when you get BREAKING NEWS of this magnitude, just stop, take a breath and remember how often you've heard this all before. Podcast below.
